EQUIVAL

Nurturing a Shift towards Equitable Valuation of Nature in the Anthropocene

EQUIVAL analyses and compares a range of plural valuation experiences across ten case studies in the Global South (Indonesia, India, South Africa, Tanzania, Kenya, Argentina, Colombia and Mexico) to explore and provide insights into this idea.

By recognizing and capturing the interplay of different perspectives about human-nature relations and associated values, and providing transparent and participatory spaces for incorporating them into decision-making processes, more ecologically sustainable and socially equitable governance outcomes may be achieved.
